I have also played through Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor, but I found it kinda dull and unremarkable. Unfortunately while I had high hopes, to me the Lego adaptation of LOTR was just too silly and I couldn't get into it. I got this game a while back in a bundle with a bunch of other LOTR games, such as the Lego games. It's notable for being the first game made after WB obtained and unified video game rights for both the LOTR books and movies, as well as being the last game from Snowblind before they were merged into Monolith Productions.
